How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

I was stressing so much as these were my dream shoes but they were all sold out when I went to purchase. Emails back and forth with the team, they assured me I would have them in time. To my surprise they arrived a couple of weeks earlier than promised which was a massive relief to an already stressed bride-to-be.

Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?

The Melody Low Heels in Ivory. I love the fact that they are truly Ivory, they matched my dress perfectly. But I wore them ALL day/night. The block heel made me feel sturdy as we walked through paddocks for photos and yes, it rained so it was wet. The flower design beading and ribbons to tie around your ankle is a feminine touch and I had lots of compliments on my shoes. Don’t believe anyone when they say ‘no one will see your shoes’ because they absolutely do!

How did you and your husband meet?

We met on an online dating app. However for the duration of our relationship we have told everyone we met through mutual friends. This all unraveled and the truth was revealed during our wedding ceremony. Talk about keeping a secret for a long time.

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

We have been together 10yrs 5months.

My now husband proposed 4 months into our relationship. I was made to climb up a very high sand dune in NZ, he climbed faster than me and sat at the top watching me climb up, when I reached the top he was holding the ring. Not exactly the most romantic story, but it was fitting for us and the view of the ocean up there was amazing.

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

He is so patient! I am NOT so I admire this trait of his so much and I’m so grateful.

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

FUN! I know that’s such a cliche response. However, I really didn’t expect to have to so much fun. I think I had in my head it would be like a hard days work but it truely was a blast start to finish.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

The dance floor and everyone on it! Our dance floor was never empty and except for a small handful of oldies everyone was up moving, laughing and shaking their booty.

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

Our wedding was located at Cowbell Creek in Austinville, QLD.

We went to visit this venue and immediately said to each other ‘this is it’. It’s got highland cows, horses, rolling hills & valleys and beautiful barn as reception area. It gave us all our country wedding vibes we were chasing for the day.

Who created your gorgeous gown?

A Pronovias dress purchased from Luv Bridal.

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

Honestly, it felt really strange for the first couple of days but now life is just back to normal. We have been together for so long I would have been really surprised if it felt wildly different.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

No honeymoon as yet and with 3 young kids we may struggle to get the time anytime soon. But in saying that I really want to swim with the whale sharks in WA later in the year so I think that’s in the making. Yay!

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

Oh this is a tough one because there’s endless amounts of advice out there.

Do not stress on your wedding day everything WILL fall into place and make peace with the fact things may not go exactly to plan. My moto eventually ended up being ‘trust the process’.

Take it all in, laugh, eat (I forgot to eat) and have fun! It goes by seriously so fast!!
