Mollie & Trevor

How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

Amazing! I actually bought the wedding shoes before picking my wedding dress (crazy, I know). But, they ended up perfectly complimenting each other like it was meant to be.

Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?

The Martini heels! I love how they are simple yet stunningly elegant. They can really be versatile and worn with a wedding dress or jeans. You don’t get more range than that.

How did you and your husband meet?

Trevor and I met through mutual friends who matched on Tinder and ended up not working out but, set us up in the process.

We were first introduced at a college bar where Trevor walked up and shook my hand. We talked, had a drink, and then went our separate ways for the night. When my friends asked me how it went I said, “if he’s interested, he’ll find me.” And, he did. We started dating 10 days later.

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

5 years. I had been impatient for a while but Trevor kept saying, "I have a plan". And, he really did.

One weekend we went back to my hometown in Nebraska. I grew up in a big old house and our morning routine is to get up and sit on the front porch with a cup of coffee. So, early the next day, when it was just the two of us rocking on the front porch swing (which is my favourite spot in the world), Trevor got down on one knee. The rest of the day was filled with surprises as friends flew in from all over the country. There were tears, laughter, and lots of drinks!

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

His heart. Trevor is such a kind soul and will do anything to make others happy. He consistently goes out of his way to make anyone around him feel comfortable.

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Timeless.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

Ahh it’s so hard to choose. I’d have to say one of my favourite moments was at our reception when we did our grand entrance. We snuck upstairs and got to walk down this beautiful staircase. I changed from my ceremony dress into a sleek new dress and my Forever Soles shoes and our guests had no idea. When we walked in it was a total surprise and caught everyone off guard. The genuine excitement was electric.

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

In the heart of the USA - Des Moines, Iowa!

This is where we currently live as Trevor finishes physical therapy school. It also was the perfect location for us because we have family in Texas, Nebraska, Chicago, and Detroit so it was a good middle ground for all who would be traveling.

Who created your gorgeous gown?

Made With Love Bridal

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

Honestly, I’m just so at peace now. After a year of uncertainty with Covid, I could finally marry my favourite person and we were able to have our dream wedding with friends and family surrounding us. Now I just wish I could go back and relive it!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Cancun, Mexico

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

Take a moment at some point in the day to look around the room because never again will all those people be in the same place.

This advice was given to Trevor and me before our wedding and it really hit home. We had people in attendance from every side of the country (literally California, Maine, Texas, and Alaska) who traveled all that way just for us.

THE MARTINI HEELS

A pair of party heels made for dancing. They're crafted from genuine leather, clear PVC and a perspex heel. The Martini heels are a nod to the 90s.
