Olivia & Nic

They tied the knot!

I first met Olivia and Nic when they were travelling through Australia on a road trip in a beaten up old camper van. They had taken some time out of their busy lives in Canada to explore the world and live in Australia. I instantly fell in love with them and had the best summer exploring the Byron area together. It was the nicest surprise when Nic proposed to Liv... You know when you know a couple is destined to be together. I just knew they were perfect for each other in every way.
She is the ying to his yang.

It was such a pleasure to design Olivia's wedding shoes for her. Olivia wore our Phoenix suede booties which can now be purchased in our store.

We chatted to Olivia to find out more about their love story:

Where did you meet your love?

Nic and I first saw each other at a show but we didn't speak. He dug up my number through some mutual friends of friends and cold called me before we went on our first date! haha

Where did you get married?

We got married at Bodega Ridge on Galiano Island, British Columbia, Canada

What is the one thing that you love most about your husband?

All of him, particularly his little complexities and charm

What was your aisle song?

My aisle song was "Fluff" by Black Sabbath

Any funny moments on the big day?

There were so many hilarious moments, I think the garter removal was pretty funny! It felt so scandalous and absurd we were all just laughing!

How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

I absolutely adored my boots, they were exactly what I had in mind when we chatted all those months ago and not only were they comfortable they felt unique and like modern take on the bridal shoe!

Is married life what you imagined? ;)

Married life is really nice so far, theres something about having made that commitment that brings an extra layer of partnership to the relationship.
