I believe every woman deserves to feel confident and supported. Forever Soles is about marriage, love and happiness. What a beautiful way to show gratitude, helping women less fortunate and contributing to their lives so they may experience the same joy. I now want to provide our community with a meaningful way to give back, so I've chosen to support charities that work tirelessly to support, protect, and empower vulnerable women and girls around the world.

In some areas of Bangladesh, up to 62% of girls are married before turning 18. These girls are not only denied their childhood, they can suffer from developmental issues due to early pregnancy. They're vulnerable to STD's including HIV, increased risk of domestic violence and have limited opportunities for education and employment.

We know women are the key to creating change for girls within their communities. Empowered women can achieve extraordinary impact, catalysing new and brighter futures for girls and their families.

The Hunger Project trains women to unleash their leadership and capacity to take action in their homes, villages and communities, to stop child marriage, violence against women and girls, discrimination against girl children - and shift hearts and minds on the importance of gender equality.

Human trafficking threatens children’s lives in Nepal every day. Women and children are often sold, especially in remote areas. Poverty, frequent trade with India, high unemployment, and a lack of awareness and education are some of the driving contributors to this crisis.

Adara gives young Nepali girls at risk of trafficking a better start in life. In all our target schools we provide quality education, raise awareness of child trafficking and implement strong child protection practices.

In the remote Humla region, where Adara has worked since 1998, trafficking has significantly decreased and since 2016 there have been no reported cases of trafficking in our target villages.

Adara also works in Ghyangfedi, the epicentre of child trafficking in Nepal. In 2015 Ghyangfedi was struck by the Nepal Earthquake. Adara reconstructed a primary and secondary school with capacity to educate 300 students – and has seen no reports of trafficking since the school opened in 2017.

Your purchase will support Adara’s work in remote community development.

Every year across the globe, 15 million babies are born too soon. Preterm birth is the leading cause of death among children under the age of five. In Uganda, 12,500 babies die every year because of preterm complications.

The Adara Group works to end preventable newborn deaths in Uganda by improving the quality and capacity of health systems, working in partnership with local champions of newborn health.

Adara is also partnering with PATH and the University of Washington to develop an incredibly simple and affordable device that helps babies breathe, when they are born with underdeveloped lungs.

Your purchase will support Adara’s work in maternal, newborn and child health.
