WHERE WAS YOUR WEDDING LOCATED? WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE THIS LOCATION?

Our wedding was at Pine and Pond Wedding Venue in Ponoka, Alberta, Canada. We wanted somewhere outside of the city Edmonton (where we live), outdoors, as we love nature and spending time together outside. Once we saw how open, full of greenery, and just absolutely stunning the venue was, we couldn't say no.

What’s your husbands name?

My husbands name is Todd Van Driel.

Who created your gorgeous gown?

My gown was purchased from a bridal boutique named Blush and Raven in Calgary, Alberta, and the designer is Alexandra Grecco. It is the "Lewis" gown.

What is one word that would best describe your wedding?

Dreamy -- Honestly, everything came together so well, better than I ever dreamed of, and the day was just the most perfect, dreamy day! No kinks or issues really, everything went so smoothly and it was so wonderful to celebrate mine and Todd's love with our friends and families.

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

Hmm, that is tough, because honestly everything is amazing about him. He is truly one of a kind. I think the most amazing thing about him is how willing he is to go the extra mile to do things for me. He is the most giving, selfless, gentleman you'll ever meet and I am SO lucky to be his wife.

What was the most challenging part of organising a wedding?

The most challenging part was trying to create this vision we both had in a short amount of time (we planned our wedding in 6 months). I think planning a wedding is one of the most stressful things someone will have to do in their life. You want to please both families, please yourselves, and make sure your friends enjoy themselves, but ultimately what we tried to focus on was the fact that this was going to be a celebration of our love, so if a couple things go wrong, it's fine, because we are getting married and get to spend our lives together.

Any funny moments?

Oh many funny moments. One that sticks out is my friends love to do a thing called "icing" people, which essentially is tricking someone into finding a Smirnoff Ice and forcing them to chug it on one knee; which might I say, is not a fun time. So my bridesmaids did that to my dad and to my husband and it was so funny!

What was your aisle song?

The song I walked down the aisle to was actually chosen by my husband as he said it made him think of me and our lives together. It was "David Livingstone", by Jon Bryant.

What is one scene in the wedding that will forever be in your memory?

My little niece Harper walking across stage while my husband's siblings were doing their speech. She had blue icing all over her face from the donuts and was wearing a big curly green wig, holding a sign that said something about being single ha ha!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

My husband and I went to Bali and WOW it was incredible. We are already trying to find a way to head back. It's a definite must for any travel hungry people out there!

Any suppliers we need to credit?

Our amazing photographer and florist must be named! Karly Ford Photo here in Edmonton, Alberta did our amazing wedding photos and then Florals were done by The Wheelbarrow Florist in Edmonton, AB as well!

How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

I loved being a Forever Soles Bride. I always knew I wanted a boho vibe on my wedding day and really struggled to find a piece of jewellery that spoke to me, until I found the Flora armband and I just knew I HAD to wear that on my wedding day.
