How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

Truly, my experience could not have been better! I searched high and low for my wedding shoes and ordered at least 5 pairs of shoes before I was recommended to Forever Soles. The shoes were the exact thing I had envisioned in my head and fit like a glove! Forever soles was my Cinderella Story.

Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?

The Honey Sandals. I wore them the entire night! Yes you heard that correctly, from ceremony, to grand exit, to crossing the threshold at our home,  I wore my shoes for 10+ hours and never complained that my feet hurt or needed to change into comfier shoes. I was shocked! An additional bonus was the exchangeable straps. I wore the silk ribbons for the wedding, but loved having the option for the classic clasp as well!

How did you and your husband meet?

To make this story as short as I can, essentially we met at the right place at the right time! January of 2019 I unexpectedly ended up at OC yoga fest in Newport Beach, CA. My (now husband) works for the area where OC Yoga fest was held that year and I met him briefly in passing whilst I was there. I would like to add that at that time, I didn't get his phone number or even his name! A month later I was out with some friends who dared me to download the dating app Tinder. He was the first person I matched with and the first thing he messaged me was "didn't we meet like a month ago?" He asked me out in that same conversation, we had our first date a week later and have been inseparable ever since!

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

It will be 4 years together in March 2023.

As for the proposal; (some brief background information.) The second date he took me on was a bonfire at Corona Del Mar State Beach in Corona Del Mar, CA. We frequently visited that beach after that date and it quickly became one of our favorite places to go together.  The day after our  2nd anniversary on March 16th, 2021 we went out on our friends boat into Newport Harbor, just the two of us. I really wanted to see the seals that frequent the buoy off the coast of Corona Del Mar State Beach, so my husband told me to "go stand at the front of the boat so he could take a picture of me with the seals." When I turned around he was down on one knee! To say I was in total shock was an understatement. I instantly started sobbing and could hardly let him finish asking me before I repeated yes over and over again!

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

My husband truthfully has the biggest heart, just absolutely filled with gold. He's helped me conquer some of my biggest fears, and has always been my biggest supporter. He knows me better than I know myself and I thank god every single day that he brought my husband to me.

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Memorable.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

Surprising my Husband! This was something that was almost 8 months in the making and to see it come to fruition in front of our closest friends and family was so beyond special. I grew up doing musical theater and have always loved singing, but as I got older I started to shy away from it. My husband loves it when I sing but I don't do it very often anymore, so I decided to professionally record a song just for him and play it at the wedding as we danced to it! One of the groomsmen, who is one of my best friends from college, helped me with the entire thing and even played the guitar for the track! We spent 8 hours recording the song at a studio in LA and worked with an amazing producer, Syd Wolfe, to help mix the perfect track. Not only was he stunned, but so were all my friends and family! No one knew I had this surprise up my sleeve and seeing everyone's smiles made all my nerves fade away. My husband almost didn't realize it was me singing at first!

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

We got married at The Barn at Aliso Viejo Ranch in Aliso Viejo, CA. It was a brand new venue, opened only a few weeks before we booked our date! We chose the venue because for as long as I can remember I had always envisioned getting married in a barn. Something about it just seemed so romantic to me and I never trailed away from that thought as I got older. Aliso Viejo Ranch was truthfully the perfect venue for us because it was an extremely modern twist on a "barn" wedding. There were no farm animals, bugs or dirt! There was plenty of privacy and greenery and it was truthfully stunning. Exactly what I wanted.

Who created your gorgeous gown?

Wtoo by Watters, the Miles Gown (with custom made sleeves!)

Dress was purchased by A&BÉ Bridal in Denver, CO!

Custom sleeves and alterations were done by the incredible Anne Thomas Couture based out of Denver, CO.

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

Truthfully, it doesn't feel much different! I always say if it feels different after marriage, then you are doing something wrong! Our relationship before marriage was extremely strong, healthy and stable. Getting married only strengthened that, but us and our relationship have not changed and I am so grateful for that!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We haven't gotten to take an actual honeymoon as of yet, but we did take a mini road trip to Arizona and to see Billie Eilish in concert! We had front row pit tickets. One of my favorite memories with my husband!

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

Less is more. I mean this in every sense of the word! The less people you have attending, the more time you get to enjoy with you and your new spouse! The small details don't matter one bit! Worry less about them. The smaller your heel, the more comfortable you will be! (Although to each their own!)
