BETH WEARS OUR PASSION HEELS IN RUBY

Photography by Kayley Bull

How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

Very easy, I was a bit unsure about ordering from Australia being in the UK however I contacted the team and they helped reassure me about sizing. They were the first thing I bought for the wedding - 2 years in advance and they were perfect when they arrived! They were worn when I went to each bridal shop and all the ladies in the dress boutiques I went to loved them too- not often they saw red bridal shoes!

Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?

The Passion Heels in Ruby! My favourite thing was that they accidentally matched my bridesmaids dresses, it wasn't done on purpose but magically worked out!

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

We have now been together for 8 years, together since Jan 2016! I proposed to him having carved a hole out into a (new, I didn't ruin his original copy!) copy of his favourite book for his ring. I gave him it on a picnic on a trip to York and he opened it and said "Oh sh*t I've just ordered you a ring!" We decided not to tell anyone and described ourselves as 'half engaged' until a month later he popped the question in a sunflower field (my fave flower!) while my head was stuck through a head hole photo thing, making me look like a sunflower.

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

How selfless he is to love me and make me happy. He never fails to put a smile on my face and make me feel at home.

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Magical!

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

My dad stumbling over my dress and veil (it was bound to happen!) when he was taking his seat at the start of the ceremony, it gave Sam and I a good giggle and put us at ease!

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

The Carriage Hall, Plumtree, UK. We chose the location for a number of reasons linking back to our life:

  1. its absolutely stunning!;

  2. there was a 'Platt lane' minutes away, and that was going to be my new name (photo in the gallery);

  3. Our first date was at a tapas bar, we love Spain, and this venue was able to do us a tapas menu for our wedding breakfast (all the guests loved this!);

  4. it's a refurbished victorian train storage unit with a test train track out the back- our first house had trains at the back of it and the occasional noise reminded us of that first house.

Who created your gorgeous gown?

Madison James, bought from Courtyard Bridal Boutique

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

It feels weird still (3 months on) that all the planning is done- my biggest task now is getting my name changed on everything important!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went to Crete in Greece, it was stunning!

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

Chill out and enjoy your day, everyone says it but it really does go by in a flash! But don't be afraid to have 5 minutes out with your new husband or wife if it gets a bit overwhelming (I did!)
