How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

Amazing - I have followed Forever Soles on Instagram for years and always knew I would wear a pair on my wedding day. I am originally from NZ so wanted as much of my wedding outfit to be from Australia/New Zealand as possible. I felt like having a piece of home with me on the day.

Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?

I wore the Ceremony sandals. Obviously they are beautiful but I was blown away by how comfortable they are! I almost never wear heels so was worried I wouldn't last in them but I forgot I was wearing them! They were a dream to walk down the aisle, navigate cobbled Greek streets and dance all night in.

How did you and your husband meet?

We met 6 years ago in the gym. We used to both train at the same time every day and would sit warming up on the bike and just chatting. It took him over a year to ask me on a date but it was worth the wait.

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

We've been together for 4 years - after 2 years together we adopted a beautiful (but crazy) border collie puppy and we were out on a dog walk by a lake where we live when he proposed. It was very low key and perfect for us.

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

They say that opposites attract but it's the other way for us- we have everything in common and just have the best time together, we both love the outdoors and he pushes me to be more adventurous which I love.

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Chilled.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

My big brother walked me down the aisle and his son, my 6 year old nephew, was our ring bearer. I haven't seen them (due to covid) for over a year so it was so special to spend the weekend together. My little nephew absolutely stole the show - helping us cut the cake, telling jokes to the whole wedding party and dragging the photographers away for his own private sunset photoshoot. He was hilarious!

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

We got married in Mykonos, Greece. We had been planning a holiday there and when our UK based wedding was cancelled we reassessed everything and decided to take 20 of our closest friends to Greece for our wedding instead. It was the best decision ever- we had 3 amazing days with everyone and it took away a lot of the stress. The weather, food and atmosphere in Greece was perfect.

Who created your gorgeous gown?

Grace Loves Lace

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

I know a lot of people say it doesn't feel any different but I think it does! Saying your vows, in front of everyone you love and seeing them all so happy for you does make you feel a certain way - we feel even more like a team now as husband and wife.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We stayed in Mykonos for a couple of days and then spent some time in Naxos and Athens. Lots of wine, beaches and too much feta.

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

Enjoy being a fiance! You only get to do it for a short time so lap it all up, don't rush to get into the planning. Also, know that no matter what happens on the day, having all the people you love in one place is what makes it so special, you'll forget any little things that go wrong and only remember all the amazing moments.
