Which shoes did you wear for your wedding?

Passion heels in Emerald

What was your favourite thing about your shoes?

I loved every part of the shoes! I love that I got to change up my reception look by updating my accessories and heels, instead of changing my dress. The colour was perfect, as was the fit. It was nice to order my normal size and have them be perfect from the beginning, instead of having to mess around with exchanges and returns so close to the wedding. But the best part was how comfortable they were - they were my second pair of heels for the day and I was sure I'd only be able to get a few hours out of them, but they literally revived me! I managed to keep them on from the beginning of the reception until the end of the night - it meant I wore heels (albeit 2 different pairs) for 13 hours straight.

How did you and your husband meet?

We met in high school, and started dating when we were 16 years old.

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

Have been together for 13 years. In terms of the proposal, he made be breakfast in bed, presenting a coffee for entree, a yoghurt and muesli for mains, and then asking me to marry him for dessert.

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

He is my best friend, and my home. No one makes me feel safer, or laugh more.

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Perfect

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

Our dance floor was pumping all night long, we loved having a saxophone player to get everyone up and about, as well as plenty of Greek music, and songs from different eras to keep everyone happy.

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

Ormond Collective, run by The Big Group. We wanted the reception and ceremony in one location, and the chapel on site is incredible. The reception space is a heritage listed venue, with beautiful art deco vintage features throughout including a chandelier. There are pops of green everywhere, including the tablecloths and chairs, which suited us perfectly as emerald green was the main colour in our vision and colour palette. We wanted dark, moody and romantic as our vibe and were keen to inject as much colour as possible!

Who created your gorgeous gown?

Luci Di Bella - one of the most fun parts of wedding planning was creating the dress! Luci was the best.

Any other suppliers you'd recommend to brides-to-be in your area?

Florals: Anatomy of Flowers; Makeup Artst: Kathryn Marrone; DJ/MC/Sax Player: Divine Audio; Stationery: Aisle of Lavender

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

Weirdly not too different! It feels nice to finally be able to call each other husband and wife as we enter this new phase of our lives.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We travelled around Europe for 3 months, finishing with a relaxing 2 weeks in Greece. We just got back and are feeling so inspired and motivated to start this new chapter together!

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

It's easy to put a lot of pressure on yourself in the lead up, as it's a lot of planning and time for one day, but it's definitely all worth it in the end. Try be as organised as possible, and over communicate where you can. It really will be the best day of your life!
