How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

I have looked online and just felt in love with all the shoes! It was really hard to choose THE ONE, but after lots of thinking I have decided on the passion high heels. Unfortunately, I could not come in person to the store, but I have ordered everything online and it was great!

Which shoes did you wear for your wedding?
What was your favourite thing about your shoes?

Passion Heels in Champagne! OMG, they literally felt like slippers. Soooo comfy, even if they had quite a big heel, they were just perfect! So soft and so pretty.

How did you and your husband meet?

I am originally from Italy, and my mum and dad were super keen for me to learn English, so they have sent me to New Zealand to study abroad… I obviously had a hosting family… guess who was the family? (Sam’s one…) Long story short… lost contact for a year, then he “randomly” came to Europe, and we met up, love sparkles happened, we had 2 and a half years long distance relationship Italy-NZ, I moved to NZ and now we live, he popped the question in Jan 2020 and now we live in Australia! 

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

Together 8 happy years. He proposed in beautiful Kaikoura, during a South Island (NZ) surfing adventure with our van and our doggie (Kingi).
What is the most amazing thing about your man? He is my sun, my rock and my home…. (from my vows!). We perfectly complement each other, love adventuring together and l could not imagine my life without him!

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Magical

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

Ah! The whole ceremony was super special, but I think the cutting of the cake was just surreal and so much fun, same for the first dance!
Also getting ready: I just had soooo much fun, dancing with my mum and girls, making jokes, having a glass of bubbles… just: FUN

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

We got married in Italy, around the area where I grow up! It was the most spectacular day, with the most incredible view and the perfect amount of people (50). We chose to go back to Italy as my nonna (nana) is 97 years old, and she could have not fly to NZ. But instead, she could come to the wedding, she has a great time, held the rings, gave a speech and got up and had a boogie with me!

Who created your gorgeous gown?

Cool story: we have decided to get married in three months, so I had no time to get a custom made, instead I had to choose from the sample sales and off the rack/second hand ones. So, I have chosen a stunning gown, that I loved the bottom half of and not so loved the top, I was not convinced, but felt pressured about the time… so I thought… that will do! After a week I found another dress of which I liked the top and not the bottom. Long story short, I went to an amazing tailor and she “cut and pasted” the top of one with the bottom of the other! I literally loved my dress, and it has such a fun story behind it!

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

I am still over the moon for the day we had, the love we felts and the memories we have made! Having the photo back makes such an amazing difference, because they bring back all those feelings and good memories!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Portugal on a mini moon surf trip! It was sooo special and beautiful! But we will go to Indonesia next year, for a proper honey moon, once I have more holiday available! Lol

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

DON’T STRESS! Take the day easy, it will never be 10000% perfect, but it will be even better: special, magical and great for you two! Enjoy it, because it goes soooooooo fast!
